HOW to MEASURE YOUR Head for HAT SIZE
1. Place the string or tape around your head about 1/8" above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head.
2. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly.
3. You need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit.
4. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.
5. I suggest measuring 3 times to make certain that you have the correct size.
Hat Etiquette & Care:
Ladies may wear their hats indoors, as these are considered fashion accessories and do not need to be removed.
Enjoy your hat and if it’s taken care of properly, your East Angel Harbor Hat is designed to last your lifetime and to become a collectible in the next century.
I include hat-size reducers to insure a perfect fit. Always put your hat size reducer in the back of the hat. Just peel off the paper and place it between the crown of the hat and the sweat band. If you don’t need the entire reducer, just cut what you do need. I recommend trying it on before you remove the backing paper.
A baby hairbrush works perfectly to remove lint, etc. from your wool hat, a hard bristle brush will damage your hat. Packing tape works well to remove lint…dab it, don’t rub it with the packing tape.
If your hat gets dusty…you can use canned air or a hair dryer on low to gently blow the dust off of the hat and feathers.
Very “Gently” use a dryer sheet to remove the static electricity from the feathers.
If the tulle is wrinkled when your hat arrives…hang your hat in the bathroom during bath or shower…the steam will allow the wrinkles to fall out. Do Not iron the tulle as you may burn or melt the nylon. 8.
If you bows are stuffed with tissue, remove the tissue and replace it again when storing you hat.
